Species Name:Monocled Cobra
Naja kaouthia
Average Adult Size: 5-7 feet.
Diet: Small mammals & birds, snakes and occasional lizard.
Habitat: Grasslands and lightly forested areas of Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, NE India, Laos, N Malaysia, Nepal, S China, Thailand, S Vietnam.
Shot: Taken at the Clark County Fair.
Comments: Did some editing to get some dirt off him. He's such a pretty guy. I messed up the darkness and contrast a bit, but hopefully this will at least be useful for teaching and the use of scale patterns.
