Species Name: Steller Sea Lion also Northern Sea Lion Eumetopias jubatus
Average Adult Weight: 600-1,100 kg. Diet: fish and cephalopods. Habitat: Oceans off the Kuril Islands and the Sea of Okhotsk in Russia to the Gulf of Alaska in the north, and down to Año Nuevo Island off central California.

Comments: God it's so hard to take pictures through that glass. You just can't comprehend how big they are until you're up next to them. You think "Oh, sea lions. Yeah, small cute and fuzzy." Nuh uh. Head to flippers this boy's bigger than I am. Wider than me too. Could do lots of damage to me if it wanted to. Yet they're so graceful in the water.
